Lucian & Axel's new school

We took Mormor out to Axel and Lucian's school that they started at last week. They are there from 8am-2:45pm. Much of the day is spent outdoors. Isa enjoys the playground as well.


Axel and Lucian's new friends. The schoolkids are taking care of 3 sheep this semester. Next they will get a cow and some chickens.

This is an area in the forest where the kids hike to and practice climbing on the rocks. They call it "Rock City."

Axel at his new school

Its been a bit of a tough week transitioning to Axel's new pre-school. On the first day he said that he would like it a tiny bit more each day. Today I asked him if he liked it a tiny bit more and being the third day, he said, "No, I already like it a lot!" Fantastic, I thought!

Lucian on the other hand has gotten weepier and weepier with each day. His third day he cried off and on for three hours, which makes me totally sad. The teachers in his class think he is doing well, nonetheless, and find that even when crying he is consolable and can be distracted. Today he enjoyed the forest walk the best.
Axel was thrilled to get to help take care of the sheep today. He also loved his forest walk yesterday collecting edible plants, which he proudly brought home.
